May 1 marked the beginning of Mental Health Awareness month. Help TNP raise awareness and decrease the stigma by participating in mental health awareness month and  educating patients and the public about the role of nurse practitioners and mental health. Below are a few resources for you to share with your local NP organization, employer, or on your personal social media accounts.

Webinar, Tools for the NP: Addressing Maternal & Adolescent Health

As Texas looks to improve mental health care in the state, addressing adolescent and maternal mental health will be a priority concern for policymakers and providers alike. In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, join Christy Blanco (DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC) and Diana Martin (MSN, RN, PNP-C) for a webinar on mental health care in the pediatric and women’s health patient population, and discuss recent legislation on screening, provider tools and resources, and tips for medication management.
