How Do I Find My State Legislators?
The Texas Legislature Online (TLO) Website allows Texans to identify their US and State representatives from the Home page. Simply go to www.capitol.state.tx.us and enter your home address in the box titled, "Who Represents Me?” The names at the top of the lest are your U.S. Senators and Representatives. These are the persons to contact about federal issues.
Scroll down the page to find your "State Texas Senator” and below that for your "State Texas Representative.” If more than one possible senator or representative is displayed, you probably live in a new area that has not yet been mapped except according to zip code. In this case, you may call your county clerk’s office to get that information, or refer to your voter registration card to find your Texas Senate and House District numbers. Then, to find the name of the Senator listed for that Senate District, Click Here. Likewise, Click Here to find the name of the State Representative corresponding to your House District number.
In all cases there are direct links to the legislators’ contact and biographical information.
