Brazosport Area Nurse Practitioners
Brazosport Area Nurse Practitioners (BANP) is a new and growing TNP affiliate that serves Southern Brazoria County, Matagorda County, Wharton County and other rural areas within our region.
We hold quarterly business meetings in February, May, August, and November as well as monthly or bimonthly educational and networking opportunities. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Lake Jackson area.
Our mission is to promote a community of commitment and excellence among Brazosport Area Nurse Practitioners through the provision of resources, leadership and networking opportunities. Coastal Bend Nurse Practitioners
The Coastal Bend Advanced Practice Nurse group was organized in November of 2010 to improve the health of our communities through:
- Promoting professional standards and quality of practice through education and mentoring activities.
- Fostering our NP professional community to support professional identity and community awareness of advance practice registered nurses.
- Raising awareness of area population healthcare issues and APRN regulatory issues through grassroots advocacy.
The group meets monthly - alternating sites between Corpus Christi and outlying areas. Non-members and students are welcome to all meeting. South Plains Nurse Practitioners Association
South Plains Nurse Practitioners Association (SPNPA) provide Primary Health Care through their work with individuals, families, groups and communities. They provide health services in health promotion, disease and injury prevention, cure, rehabilitation and support. Nurse practitioners, using their full scope of practice, will diagnose and assist client responses to actual and potential health problems, in order to promote wellness. NPs take into account the health care needs, abilities and resources available to the client. They manage common and complex diseases in collaboration with the client and directly and indirectly with the physician and other members of the health care team. Valley Advanced Practice Nurse Association
VAPNA is open to each category of advanced practice nurses including Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives, and Nurse Anesthetists. VAPNA invests in the future of NP students by providing annual scholarships. These scholarships, usually in the amount of $500, are awarded to as many as four NP students annually.
